CAL-Fire responds to multiple Fires in Bangor on June 5 2015

From Action News:

"Cal Fire Butte County crews have contained a flurry of grass fires that broke out within an hour and a half of one another Thursday afternoon.

The largest of the three fires was reported at 2:36 p.m. and burned approximately 15 acres near Dunstone Drive in Bangor. The blaze is 50 percent contained, but the threat to structures has been mitigated.Cal Fire crews are expected to remain on scene mopping up all night.

A little before 4 p.m. another blaze broke out in Bangor, this one near Mellow Meadow Lane. Crews contained the fire to an acre.

Alert Neighbor Helps Butte Deputies Capture 3 Residential Burglars

An alert neighbor helps Butte County Sheriff's deputies snag 3 residential burglars this afternoon. A citizen flagged down Deputy Brian Evans in Palermo about 1pm to report some suspicious activity on Melvina Avenue.
...
Investigators say the quick action of the citizen recognizing the suspicious activity and reporting it to the deputy was instrumental in arresting the suspects and recovering the stolen property.
